Livestock farming is under scrutiny due to its environmental impact. This has recently been formally assessed in an FAO report. This report “presents a detailed assessment of the magnitude, the sources and pathways of emissions from different production systems and supply chains.
WHO page on health impact assessment (HIA) (http://www.who.int/hia/en/): This page includes a set of useful resources, including definitions and glossary. It also provides some examples of HIAs, although none specifically for animals, livestock or food. There is, however, one example of an impact assessment of agriculture and food policies for Slovenia (http://www.who.int/hia/examples/agriculture/whohia008/en/). Anyone aware of further examples to share?
